Life's unexpected twists and turns took me from my undergraduate education at IU, Bloomington, where I earned a B.A. in political science and geography, to teaching social studies in Louisville, to New Albany as a media specialist, on to Avon as an elementary school librarian, and than as an English teacher at Avon High School.  My current position is Instructional Coach for Avon High School where I provide data-driven professional development and support to staff.

I made my first website in 1999 and was among the first educators to write about Twitter as a Professional Development tool. Funny... I had to convince my editor back then that, yes, Twitter was here to stay!

I earned my Doctor of Education with a cognate in educational technology and curriculum from Ball State University in May 2018 and am currently teaching at the University of Indianapolis in addition to continuing my work as an Instructional Coach for Avon Community School Corporation in Avon, Indiana.

The learning never stops.
